Hi everyone. I think it has been quite a while since I sat here to record some of my crazy ventures. Yea, it is more of an obsession than a hobby. I don't know about you but I could get so engross that I would not notice time flying. However to be fair to all at home I always give prior notice that I will be occupied for the day and thus will not be able to cook much (everyone eats porridge for the day or even maggi mee) and eh.... my dear husband will have to put up with a messy house too. I can tell you that he is extremely patient (perhaps gritting his teeth in silence) because while he is a very tidy man, I am just the opposite. But of course when I have finished with my project, I will make sure the house is back to its orderliness. Ha! Ha! Ha! Well ....... not exactly in perfect order as my dear husband would wish but the best that I can give. Well, enough of my crazy preamble. Let me share with you this week my indulgence. Yes....towel cakes.

For a long while I have been thoroughly fascinated with towel cakes. Don't they look pretty delicious? Just take a look at one below.

I used to step into a shop and looked at each one for quite some time and then reluctantly put them down. The reason was, I was beginning to attract attention. The owner showed his displeasure by standing very near. it is definitely a sure sign that either I buy or I scoot. And perhaps I was under the owner's suspicion that I might just flick one into my pocket. Ha! Ha! Ha! You may want to know why don't I just buy one and be done witb it. No, I can't. it will take away the thrill of finding out how to make. I can spend hours in the internet to watch each Youtube on how to make a towel cake. Furthermore if I buy just one, I will lose the excitement of hunting for the materials and in addition I will not be able to feel this perverted sense of joy of finally acquiring the material at an exorbitant price only to know that I have been cheated. I will then go on a mad shopping spree to get the cheaper ones. It is all so exhilarating to be able to find the materials and buy them at a cheaper rate. Yes, I must go through the whole crazy motion to be able to enjoy the product with pure contentment and utter enjoyment.
